Public health is a very important issue and it helps in preventing various diseases by promoting health and telling about the various effects of bad health through various known and social organizations and groups. It is concerned towards the population as a whole and its health. It may be contained only to a small community and may be extensive to as large as a continent. The public health is an important issue of the society and has to be taken care of. You should see that the surrounding areas are clean and disease free. If there is any uncovered source which can lead to bacterial infections such as an open gutter, inform your authorities to the fastest. Spread awareness among the public especially your neighbors to keep your area clean. Spread awareness about various diseases which may be caused due to their negligence. You should try to prevent a disease rather than to treat it as once it gets in your life cycle, it will be very difficult to remove. Such kind of disease is dengue caused due to still water puddles. Awareness about diseases such as AIDS must also be spread. Free condoms are supplied in various places and people are told about its importance.

You should relax for at least 20 minutes a day. This reduces your blood pressure and reduces your reactions to stress. Just be comfortable and try to breathe in and out slowly. While you inhale say HAM and say SA as you exhale. This are charged with a positive energy and helps you to control your emotions. In order to prevent gum infections, you should floss your teeth every day. Gum diseases, if untreated, can cause inflammations in the body and can even lead to heart diseases and even a stroke. You should try to have some tea instead of coffee as it helps your body to be saved from the damage caused by the free radicals. Tea is good in antioxidants and also prevents some cardiovascular diseases. You should also try and be active all the time. The aerobic activities in the everyday life increase your metabolism and keep it elevated for a certain period and burn your calories. Try and do some jogging every day. Aerobic exercise for 20 minutes a day is very helpful. Try and walk for short distances, use the stairs instead of elevators. The lack of sleep also causes your hormones to change which inhibits your capacity to metabolize the carbohydrates present in the body. Deep sleep can help in cell repair and growth which speeds up the metabolism. You should also try and include more proteins in your body as they stimulate the major chemical in the brain called dopamine which increases our alertness levels. Try to have chicken and tuna for lunch. Have complex carbs rather than white flour or sugar. Another reason to leave out simple carbs is because they have a negative effect on your skin and your ageing.

Don’t smoke. There is a misconception among majority of people that smoking causes weight loss or weight gain. It is a myth. Though smoking has been related in the past to the metabolism rate of the body, but it is a drug. And drug has many ill effects. It is highly addictive and dangerous in nature. Though it has a small effect on the metabolism rate but death from lung cancer surely outweighs it.
Drink plenty of fluids: though you can survive 3 weeks without food supply, you cannot survive more than three days without fluids! The main component of body is water. The fluids in your body are responsible for keeping your metabolic processes working and dehydration can lead to their slowing down. Your active nature also depends on the fluids present in your body. With less intake of water, your activities will slow down and may cause you a headache.
Eat in variety: you should have all the nutrients in your food which helps in curing and preventing various diseases such as cancer and cardio diseases. Try and eat fruits and vegetables of different colors. Eat an apple a day as it keeps your digestive system clean by removing the toxins and preventing problems of degeneration

Health according to world health assembly is a complete state of physical, mental and social well being of a person. Absence of diseases may not indicate that a person is in sound health. According to World Health Organization report of the Ottawa Charter for promotion of health chart of 1986, it is a complete resource of everyday life and not only an object of everyday living. It emphasizes physical capacities of an individual along with his or her personal and social resources. It has many classifications. The major classifications are International classification of Functioning, health and disability (ICF), and the International classification of diseases (ICD). Health is the main persona of an individual. It reflects a person’s personality. If a person is healthy and sound, he will have a clean and a healthy mind. Health need not be only of his physical body. Even though a person may be healthy physically, he can be mentally stressed out or mentally tired. This will show in his gloomy attitude. So a person has to be healthy both physically and mentally in order to live a good life. The main components required for good and sound health are clean air and water, clean and nutritive food, healthy surroundings which are disease free, good and maintained sanitary conditions, exercises and a good sleep. Bad habits such as irregular eating, smoking, drinking can cause a person to be unhealthy and may lead to many diseases which can also be fatal. So a person must keep a good distance from all these in order to lead a healthy and a happy life.
